So last week my professor gave us our weekly theme. This week, Red Riding hood Western style.

As with the previous drawing, the pose has to be based on one the model did.

I decided to go with this one for Red. The idea is that she's been tripped or fell and on reflex has turned to face whoever or whatever has caused her to fall with her guns drawn.

Her gun holsters are weaved baskets and her dream catcher necklace has wolf teeth instead of feathers given to her by the native that saved her from the wolf when she was younger.

Her back story is similar to the original story up to the point that she finds the wolf at her grand mothers homestead. The wolf is about to eat her when a native hears her scream and saves her in time. Unfortunitely the grandmother is dead and that starts her down a path of hunting wolves like the one that took her grand mother from her.

I think that I will try to color this one when I have the time, some color would probably make the over all image look better.

Thoughts?

I'm assuming she falls on her back. If that is so wouldn't her cape stick more to her body at the end?

Shes either falling or fell. The cape is covering the fact that I had no idea what to put over her rear that would look both good and realistic (if you do a google for chaps you'll see what I mean). Id like to color this piece when I get some free time but that likely wont happen for awhile (the free time I mean).
